We are delighted to be participating in this year’s specialist colloquium ‘Road Construction in Practice’ organized by TAE – Technische Akademie Esslingen e.V. on February 18–19. In our presentation “Measuring sustainability: Life cycle assessment in road construction using the example of EPD asphalt mix,” Leonie Weber will share our experiences and insights.
🌱 What is it about?
In our presentation, we will show:
✔ How we developed an exemplary environmental product declaration (EPD) for asphalt mix.
✔ What challenges arose during data collection for the life cycle assessment (LCA) – and how we solved them.
✔ Why the c-PCR “Product group-specific rules for the uniform creation of EPDs for asphalt” of the German Asphalt Association is an important step towards standardized and comparable EPDs.
Our goal: To make sustainability in road construction measurable and tangible!
