The company was founded in 2008 by Dr. Maike Hora and Dr. Udo Hermenau as a spin-off from the DFG Collaborative Research Center “Development of Environmentally Sound Products” at the Technical University of Darmstadt. In 2010, Dr. Meriem Tazir joined the team as a partner, contributing her extensive cross-sector and international experience in the field of sustainability. Udo left the company in 2014, and since then Maike and Meriem have continued to run e-hoch-3 together as partners.
