Electro Mobility Network
e³ is one of the key initiators of the electric mobility network Darmstadt Rhein Main Neckar together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF and the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The network, founded in 2010, promotes exchange between stakeholders from industry, academia and the public sector to significantly advance the economic competence and research skills in electric mobility for the city and the region. Founding members also include the City of Darmstadt, The Mover Darmstadt, energynautics, HSE, HEAG mobilo, matrixmediaconsult and riese und müller. The network organizes several events throughout the year.
The Electric Movement of Hessen
e³ is an active partner in the electro-mobility initiative “Strom bewegt Hessen” of the State Chancellery of Hessen. In 2008 the government of Hessen started various projects within its sustainability strategy. Sustainable electric mobility is one key element of the strategy and various types of battery-powered transportation – electric cars, transporters, buses, bicycles etc.– have now been tested in Hessen.
The Nawi Award
e³ is a member of the independent and multidisciplinary nawi-Award jury. The nawi award recognizes the achievements of companies, startups, organizations and personalities that have an outstanding commitment to sustainable economic business and management or have integrated sustainability into their structures and processes in an exemplary manner. Patron of the nawi Forum – sustainable management for SMEs – is Lucia Puttrich, Hessian Minister of the Environment, Energy, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
VDI- Directive Committee
e³ is member of the committee of the German Association of Engineers developing the guideline series VDI 2343 “Recycling of electrical and electronic equipment”. The guidelines provide practical and legally compliant recommendations for the recycling of electr(on)ic equipment. The guideline series cover dismantlement, logistics, processing, exploitation, commercialization and re-use.
