Sustainability becomes a driver of progress when leadership treats it as a strategic responsibility rather than an additional burden. It requires leaders who create space for diverse perspectives, ask the right questions, and translate long term responsibility into practical decisions. For us, this perspective is particularly meaningful: our managing directors, Maike Hora and Meriem Tazir, are co authors of a book on female leadership, which explores leadership through a range of complementary lenses.
We are very pleased to present our contribution today as a co-author to „Leadership – Frauen schaffen Zukunft“, which is being published by Frankfurter Allgemeine Buch as the sixth volume in the successful series. 🚀
The two editors and co-authors, Claudia Rankers and Kerstin Rücker, have brought together over 50 exceptional women writers from the worlds of business, academia, and society for this project! They all share their valuable experiences and perspectives on the topic of #Leadership—grounded in expertise yet deeply personal.
In our chapter „Nachhaltigkeit und Führung“, we highlight that sustainability becomes a real strategic priority only when leaders actively support it. Whether leadership regards sustainability as an opportunity for long term value creation or merely as an additional burden shapes the resources, decisions, and commitment it receives throughout the organisation. Leaders are central to establishing sustainability as a shared priority rather than an isolated compliance task.
